As the people who make these boots we are not surprised and know that the reasons that our boots perform so well is down to using the best raw materials and the toughest construction techniques. We are proud that most of these raw materials are Australian-made and sourced.

FAIRSTITCH WELT

Fairstitch Welt Machine Sewn & Brass Wire Screwed 

This method of construction is totally unique to Harold Boots and is used by our traditional range: Avon, Gardener, Grazier, Hunter, Kimberley, Pagan, Roper and Polocrosse

• An Australian leather upper is cement-lasted to a butt leather insole which has Poron foam laminated to it for extra comfort
  A carbon-fibre moulded shank is then attached.
• Oak tanned butt leather mid-sole which has a plug removed in the fore part is then laminated to base of boot
• The Mid-Sole is then Blake-stitched (internally sewn) to base of boot right through to leather insole
• The plug in the leather mid-sole is then filled with granulated cork for absolute comfort under the ball of the foot.
• The Cork Rubber sole is then attached to the leather mid-sole
• Both mid-sole and sole are then brass-wire screwed to base of boot through to leather insole and then outsole welt-stitched (for extra strength and durability)
• The heel is then laminated to the sole and internally screw-nailed using hardened buttress cling nails

GOODYEAR WELT

Goodyear Welt Jackaroo Range

This method is used in the production of: Archer, Wilton, Gwydir and Peel

• An Australian leather upper is cement-lasted to welt ribbing, laminated and stitched to a water proof composite insole which has Poron foam laminated to it for extra comfort
• Welt Goodyear is stitched to the ribbing and upper
• A cork filling is applied and a carbon-fibre moulded shank attached
• A cork rubber sole is then laminated to the base of the boot and the sole welt outsole stitched (for extra strength and durability).
• The heel is then laminated to the sole and internally screw-nailed using hardened buttress cling nails

LITTLE WAY CONSTRUCTION

Littleway Construction Jackaroo Range

• This method is used in the production of: Murray and Namoi 
• The Australian leather upper is cement-lasted to the composite breathable insole
• A carbon-fibre shank is attached
• The sole unit is then laminated to the base of the boot and the sole is Blake-stitched (internally stitched) right through to the insole
• The Heel is then screw-buttress nailed for added security
• A breathable gel padded footbed installed for absolute comfort
